What is Taiko

Taiko (太鼓?) means "drum" in Japanese. Outside Japan, the word is often used to refer to any of the various Japanese drums (和太鼓, "wa-daiko", "Japanese drum", in Japanese) and to the relatively recent art-form of ensemble taiko drumming.

Photos of our group span multiple years and include many individuals; some of which are still with us and some that have departed. Our group is very diverse and includes people for multiple cultural backgrounds, countries and ages. We have had members as old as 6 while others have been as young as 80 or more.

Our performances include such places as elementary schools, libraries, cultural events, festivals and even private weddings and anniversaries.
